3/14/12 Shout Out to: Shirley Florea; G. Stanley Hall. Shirley Florea is a Para at G. Stanley Hall Elementary and has been a true inspiration to me as a coworker. She truly is one of the most professional and dedicated people I have ever met. Her positive attitude is second to none in her willingness to take on whatever she is asked to do. I have so much respect and admiration for her as a dedicated Para educator and an exemplary person. I'm not sure how many years she has worked for this district but in the three years I have worked with her I have only seen caring and dedication for the children and staff that she works with everyday. From working with SPED, to interventions, to making sure all children are safe as crossing guard, she gives her all with warmth and professionalism. She's wonderful and I feel very lucky to work with her. Janice Ryan
3/14/12 Shout Out to: Lindsay Rogers; Bell Elementary. Lindsay Rogers is very creative in teaching and meeting the needs of ALL students. She is very adaptive to their learning needs. She consistently monitors what she teaches and makes those necessary adaptations. As co-teachers on her team, we have come to appreciate all her teaching contributions.
After teaching for 19 years, I still learn from her example. She continually brings fresh ideas and strategies and is always willing to share them. With the abundance of expectations that are continually added, Lindsay is always positive and has never lost her spark in remaining positive in her delivery of best practices.
I knew from the beginning that Lindsay was going to be someone I could learn from. Not only does she have a huge heart and cares for all her students, but she really knows her stuff! She has been a mentor to me many times over and has always been a great sounding board for ideas. Her laugh is contagious and her ability to come up with creative ways to engage students is remarkable. I am lucky to get to come to work each day and work with such an amazing individual. Thank you Mr. Wilde Tom Furby
9/13/11 Shout out to: Sherry Bergen, Hickory Hill. Mrs. Bergen's enthusiasm makes students excited about reading and technology. Interactions with her are always a joy. She'll go above and beyond to assist students as well as parents. Thank you, Mrs. Bergen! The Koehler Family
8/20/11 Shout out to: Tom Hanson, Director of Buildings & Grounds. Everyone at Anderson Grove says THANK YOU to Tom Hanson for all his support with our various projects over the past couple years. Tom has provided helpful guidance and advice as we have moved forward with playground projects, landscaping, and interior beautification projects. He has been extremely generous with his time and expertise. AG wouldn't be looking nearly as "spiffy" without Tom's support. High Five to Tom -- now an honorary Quail! :) Anne Harley
